Twenty-Second Century Satellite

Here's a fun sketch of a flying car that started out as an Edsel because of the upright center grill element. As I resolved it, making it a Satellite became more natural because of the bodyside ( from one of my favorite understated late 60's cars) and because it's such a great name for a Flying Car.

  1. My favorite part of this design is the shape of the canopy. Nicely done

    1. Thanks! The frit placement completely changes the attitude of the glass area. Reminds me- I wanted to put in some separations between the glass panels, and lighten up that overhead console part.

  3. Joe, I really like this retro-in-the-future style. still staying true to your roots: low and wide and a log dash-to...um...front stabilizer fin?

    1. Thanks Dave! It's the most fun style for me- no regulations here! Also, I'm calling the wing/thruster combos "Motivators." I want to do a few more of these..
